About Course

CPC31420 – Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing is a nationally recognised trade qualification designed for workers specialising in waterproofing for residential and commercial construction projects. Students gain practical skills in applying waterproofing membranes and coatings to protect building structures and contents. Training is delivered in real or closely simulated workplace conditions to ensure job readiness.

Licensing & Site Access

Completion of the general construction induction training (White Card) is required for anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

Packaging Rules

To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 19 units:

  • 14 core units
  • 5 elective units

Electives may all be chosen from the listed group or up to three may be selected from other endorsed training packages or accredited courses, provided they contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome and do not duplicate other units in this qualification.

  • ✔ CPCCWP2004* – Prepare surfaces for waterproofing application
  • ✔ CPCCWP3001* – Apply waterproofing to below-ground level wet areas
  • ✔ CPCCWP3002* – Apply waterproofing to internal wet areas
  • ✔ CPCCWP3003* – Apply waterproofing to above-ground external wet areas
  • ✔ CPCCWP3004* – Apply waterproofing remedial processes
  • ✔ CPCCWP3005* – Assess construction waterproofing processes

* Indicates prerequisite requirements. These must be met and assessed prior to delivery of the unit.
