About Course

CPC33020 – Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying is a nationally recognised trade qualification for bricklayers, blocklayers and pavers working across residential, industrial and commercial projects. The qualification may include heritage restoration, refractory work and paving. All units must be delivered and assessed in real or closely simulated workplace conditions.

Licensing & Site Access

Completion of the general construction induction training (White Card) is required for anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

Packaging Rules

To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 28 units:

  • ✅ 20 core units
  • ✅ 8 elective units

Electives can be selected from the specialist groups below (Traditional & Heritage, Refractory, Paving) or General Electives. Up to two elective units may be selected from any other endorsed Training Package or accredited course where they support a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome and the AQF level of this qualification.
